Sogol is an Iranian-based photographer living in Turkey. In 2019 she received a bachelor’s Degree in photography from the Art University of Tehran.
She loves what she does, showing people how stunning they are. She is very involved in travel and documentary photography, Although she embraces many photography genres. To her, documentary photography is so much more than an approach. It is a way of thinking, not just about photography but about life. One makes the photo with the technical elements – things like light and composition in mind, but the story behind every photo represents a lot about the individual personality and worldview. She is mainly interested in people and their place in today’s world – especially those left aside, on the margins of society; this can be seen in her “Nomads” and “Mother” projects.
Besides photography, video making, painting, and video editing are some of the things she enjoys doing.
Adventure, nature, and discovering life are her motivators. Moreover, she is always chasing that feeling that can only capture in a photo.

- I’ve been doing freelance photography since I entered university in 2014.
- During that time, I collaborated with about 60 restaurants in Tehran in the field of food photography.
- I have also been active in advertising, industrial, fashion, and architectural photography.

- In 2017, I started filming and making teasers for various companies and groups.
- During that period, I’ve made dozens of promotional teasers. Moreover, I produced videos for several real estates, promoting them in Turkey and Cyprus in 2022.

I was in charge of content production management. In this company, all products had to be creatively photographed and displayed on Instagram. Therefore, we tried to create a friendly atmosphere between designers and customers that resonates well.
